How Does It Work?
It uses a solution of ammonia in water, which is heated. The solution is pumped into the absorber and ammonia vapour goes up to the condenser. In the condenser, the vapour is cooled into a fluid, which runs off into the low temperature evaporator, where it evaporates into a weak ammonia hydrogen atmosphere. While evaporating, the ammonia liquid absorbs the heat, creating a cold environment.
